Liberation Day of Kuršumlija from the Ottomans
Paying tribute to the fallen heroes in the wars for the liberation of Kuršumlija from the Ottomans. Held every year on the Christian holiday of Epiphany in the park in front of the monument “Liberators of Kuršumlija in the Wars of 1877–1878”.
Commemoration of the Toplica Uprising Anniversary
Paying tribute to the fallen heroes of the Toplica Uprising. Held every year on February 26 in the village of Mačkovac.
International Women’s Day Concert
In celebration of Women’s Day, the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Kuršumlija organizes a concert – an evening of music, gratitude, and beautiful emotions dedicated to all women who enrich our community with their presence.
Commemoration of the NATO Bombing Anniversary
Paying tribute to the victims of the NATO bombing. Held every year on March 24 in the park near the “Monument to the Victims of the NATO Bombing”.
Easter Magic
This event combines cultural, entertainment, humanitarian, and competitive elements. It is held in April, during Easter week, in Svete Ane Street. The event aims to preserve tradition and local craftsmanship. Visitors have the opportunity to buy gifts, souvenirs, and handmade products, enjoy food and drinks from the Toplica region, and participate in Easter egg tapping competitions.
Cultural Summer
An event featuring a rich cultural, entertainment, and music program. Traditionally held every year in July.
Municipality Day of Kuršumlija – “Great Dormition”
Celebrated at the end of August with a three-day program. The event includes exhibitions, lectures, cultural and artistic performances, children’s programs, awards for the best pupils and students, a public procession, and a ceremonial academy.
Miholjdan Village Gatherings
The “Miholjdan Village Gatherings” event was first held in 2025 with the support of the Ministry for Rural Care. The event aims to bring together children and residents from rural areas, offering them opportunities to enjoy and participate in cultural, artistic, and educational programs, art workshops, children’s activities, and sports games.
Nemanja’s Days
A medieval-themed event held in honor of Stefan Nemanja’s first endowments. Its goal is to promote the glorious era of Stefan Nemanja. Held every year in September on the plateau in front of the Monastery of Saint Nicholas.
Commemoration of the Iron Regiment Anniversary
Traditional wreath-laying ceremony in honor of the formation of the Second Infantry Regiment “Knjaz Mihailo”. Held every year on October 3 in the village of Igrište in front of the “Iron Regiment” monument.
