As part of the “Nemanja Days” festival, the courtyard of the Monastery of Saint Nicholas in Kuršumlija will host a commemorative evening on Thursday, 17 September 2026 under the title “The Monastic Foundations of Stefan Nemanja – Foundations That Endure Forever”.

At a site that preserves vivid memories of Stefan Nemanja’s time and the beginnings of one of the most significant eras in Serbian history, the evening will celebrate his monastic foundations and the spiritual and cultural legacy that has endured through the centuries.

The programme will open with an address by Hieromonk Simeon Gavrilović, followed by an oration delivered by His Grace Bishop of Hvostan Aleksej.

A performance by the Corona String Quartet will add a special artistic touch to the evening.
