Monument to the Liberators of Kuršumlija (1877–1878)

The central part of the park is adorned with the Monument to the Liberators of Kuršumlija from 1877–1878, erected in 1896 through donations from citizens and King Aleksandar Obrenović. After the suppression of the Toplica Uprising in 1917, Bulgarian forces destroyed the inscriptions on the monument’s marble plaques, which are currently being restored.
